tweetsgiving-logoTWEETSGIVING IS COMING TO CHICAGO!

In 2008 Tweetsgiving raised over $10,000 to build a classroom in Arusha, Tanzania. Imagined and built entirely by volunteers in six days, TweetsGiving was launched 2 days before the US Thanksgiving holiday, and quickly became the #1 trending topic on Twitter!

Tweetsgiving was created by 501c3 US nonprofit Epic Change

TWEETSGIVING IN CHICAGO - AND YOU!

Tweetsgiving is looking for organizers in Chicago to hold their own “gratitude parties” on November 24, 25 and 26 (or earlier in the week if you prefer).

These can be a variety of events, from 10-20 person house gatherings (dinner with friends?) to getting your friends or connections together in a public venue (such as a bar or restaurant) for networking.

We’ll be posting the events as official Tweetsgiving events to help you promote them AND Tweetsgiving will be supporting you along the way by answering your questions, offering suggestions and more.

Ideas for Gratitude Parties in Chicago:

  • Maybe you’re going to be spending time with family or friends; you can get together, reconnect in a venue of your choosing AND give back to help a great cause by collecting money at the door ($10-$20 per person or more if you choose).
  • For your business: Take this opportunity to spread the word about your business in Chicago AND online by having a company party on site or nearby!  Connect with clients and employees to spread gratitude!

This year proceeds will again, in part, benefit the school in Tanzania, where a dormitory/orphanage, library, school cafeteria and additional classrooms are much needed. In addition, TweetsGiving 2009 seeks to fund new Epic Change partners and fellows in other parts of the world.
